  • Scriptural Foundation:

  • Self-Support in Ministry: The Apostle Paul, a prominent figure in spreading the gospel, exemplified the practice of self-support. In Acts 18:3, it says, "and because he was of the same trade he stayed with them and worked, for they were tentmakers by trade." Paul and his companions worked to support themselves financially while sharing the gospel, emphasizing that their ministry should not be a financial burden on others.
  • Working to Avoid Burden: Paul further underscores this principle in 2 Thessalonians 3:8: "nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you." This verse highlights the disciples' commitment to laboring for their own needs while freely sharing the gospel.
  • Generosity in Support: While the disciples worked to support themselves, they also acknowledged the generous support of believers. In Philippians 4:15-18, Paul thanks the Philippians for their financial support, demonstrating that voluntary support is welcome and appreciated.
  • Freely Given, Freely Give: Jesus taught that the gospel should be freely given. This principle is echoed in Matthew 10:8, "Freely you have received; freely give." The gospel, as a divine gift, should remain unburdened by financial barriers.
  • Avoiding Hindrances: In 1 Corinthians 9:12, Paul states, "If others have this right of support from you, shouldn’t we have it all the more? But we did not use this right. On the contrary, we put up with anything rather than hinder the gospel of Christ." Paul's refusal to use his right to support ensures that nothing hinders the spread of the gospel.

MY COMMITMENT

In alignment with these teachings, all content in this media library is freely available. My mission is to share the gospel, provide Christian mentorship, and offer resources without any financial barriers. While all content on this website is free, I humbly offer an option for donations with the essential understanding that the gospel is a gift intended to be freely received and freely given. Thus, while your generosity is greatly appreciated, it is never required. All contributions help sustain this ministry and also support other ministries that the Holy Spirit leads me to give to, ensuring the gospel remains accessible to all. Together, we can continue to spread the love and message of Jesus Christ without hindrance.

My “tent-making” business: I work as a third grade teacher to support my joy of freely giving and sharing the gospel.

By upholding this principle, I hope to inspire others to reflect on how they might use the gospel—not as a tool to get wealthy or build their own kingdoms, but instead to build the kingdom of God together, prioritizing His message over financial gain.
