Dear Former Self,

There is more for you, but you just can’t see it right now. You know deep inside of you that you are destined for a greater purpose than what you have settled for. Stop doubting yourself. Stop doubting your gifts, your talents, and your beauty.

You keep waiting for someone to tell you that you are special and set apart. But Darling, you are. Can’t you see that? You are. You sit waiting for the preacher or prophet to acknowledge you and give you that special word to confirm what the Voice inside of you has been whispering in your ear since the day you were born. You are not destined for the route of outside validation. You are designed to gain your strength, wisdom, and significance from an inner kingdom. All else will not satisfy, satiate, or suffice. Your circumstances won’t allow you to be affirmed from others, because you’re purposed to discover that confirmation from within. This is your destiny. It’s not that you are more special than the others. Divine power is available for every soul to pull from and apply. It’s just that your soul has cried for it. You want more, and you are going to obtain it. However, a higher path means you must abandon the mindsets obtained in the low lands. You must release the things that are weighing down your path to higher plains of existence. You must trust the things and people being removed from your life are in your highest and best good.

If you want to experience heaven on earth, it is possible, but there is work you must do. There is a journey you must embark upon. It’s time to starve the things that have been feeding you, so you can begin to be nourished from a more enlightened Source. What you need to assist you with this process is within you. You must begin by acknowledging it, pulling from it, and releasing it.

The peace, genuine happiness, and contentment you seek belong to you. Are you ready to surrender what you have? Are you ready to lay aside the counterfeits that have been unsuccessful in offering you the deep soul fulfillment you seek? There is an original that wants you. You’ve asked for the real love story. Are you ready to create it? If so, there is much to do. You must first be ready to renew your mind and purify your heart. You must begin the work there. You’ve allowed things to be thought and felt that have brought you to this place of pain. It’s time to heal them now.

Your focus has been on what you stand to lose and upon what you do not possess instead of what you have been given and all you stand to gain. You ache because you feel like you are losing things, losing love, losing friends, and losing recognition and worth. You feel you have not obtained that which you have sought to acquire. You feel you are not significant or capable enough to achieve the dreams that burn within your heart. Oh, but Mighty One, these feelings, and thoughts are not true. An entire kingdom of abundant supply lies within you to be released upon your command. You begin your climb to the summit of the mountain you wish to dwell upon by acknowledging this most significant truth. Then, you must endure the harsh cutting away of the things which have held you back and are keeping you low. You are destined to be lifted higher.

Make the trek up the mountain, prepare your place of sacrifice, and leave what is killing you on the altar to be burned. You have been clinging on to something you think is a diamond but is only worth that of a lump of coal. Open your hands, let the fire come down and consume whatever cannot withstand the heat. The wind will carry the ashes you are holding. You are destined to walk this world adorned with authentic gems of wisdom, grace, and truth, treasures that are laced within the fabric of your heart. These jewels will not limit you. They will liberate you. You’ve settled for scraps on the floor when you are destined to sit in a seat of royalty dining from all the best the kingdom has to offer.

Your mind has not served you well. It has told you to hold on to something small, because you have not believed you are worthy of something bigger. Your void has been deep; thus, you have compromised in an attempt to fill it. This simply will not do for one purposed to fellowship amidst a royal court of purified hearts cleansed and equipped to offer kindness and liberation to the constituents of their utopic kingdom. You are ready to be prepared for service, or your soul would not have beckoned you to this moment to read these words. You have called for them, and they have come for you. Love is chasing you. Embrace it. Offer it to yourself. Offer it to those who have failed you. It is the key to begin unlocking the doors to your destiny.

Begin to feed your mind truth. Your soul is begging for it. Believe in your greatness. Believe in the magical force of a powerfully infinite Divine Holy Spirit that is purely with you, in you, carrying you, and intimately speaking to continuously guide you. Embrace every moment of your journey as the exact place you are destined to be. Learn from whatever the experience you are having is there to teach you. Learn from the souls standing before you.

Allow your hate to teach you love.
Allow your fears to teach you faith.
Allow your chaos to teach you peace.
Allow your brokenness to teach you wholeness.
Allow your lack to teach you how to live a life of plenty.
Allow your setbacks to teach you how to make your comebacks.
Allow your entrapments to teach you how to live in abundant freedom.

Your future is in your hands. The power of the Creator, the angels, and all the support in the entire Universe is available to you. What is your life going to look like? What are you going to create for your future with the power that has been made available to you? How you think and how you feel right now, at this moment, is telling God what you believe is possible for yourself, your life, and your future. Your beliefs are determining what you will experience because your life is a reflection of who you are. It’s not your words that shape your reality. It’s the contents of your heart. What is your heart saying about who you are, about how you feel, and about what you believe? The answer to this question will determine the quality of life you will experience. And I’m not just talking about monetary comforts or material wealth. I am speaking about spiritual satisfaction, peace, and contentment, which you can possess despite the outward circumstances of your life. Are not acquiring these attributes worth their weight in gold? Are they not the most accurate measurement to determine real and lasting success in this world?

Listen to your life. What is it telling you? Pay attention to what it is saying. Assimilate the wisdom being spoken and make adjustments accordingly. Step upon the illuminated path that has been placed before you. It has been pre-forged and cleared by the hand of the Divine, and it is ready for you. Most importantly, you are ready for it. It’s time. This is the way. Walk ye in it.
